Ryan Gerdes

Ryan Gerdes graduated 2023 with a BSc Psychology from Swansea University, and joined YRAP as Program coordinator in November 2023. Since then, Ryan has dedicated himself to revitalizing YRAP's programing and internal operations to better move with the ever changing landscape of youth justice, and provide more trauma-informed services to YRAP's youth. Building robust support networks to give youth a safe place to take accountability, explore their interests and find a better way forward is central to Ryan's work. "Many of our youth have had very little say in the trajectory of their lives until they reach us. The power of YRAP lies in its ability to meet youth on their level and put them in the driver's seat. Our youth know what they need to thrive, they just need someone to listen and help them put it in motion
